Local refugee families enjoy an outing on the WILD SIDE!

Manyumba And Daughter Croc

The group includes families who have recently arrived from Africa and SE Asia.

Their excursion to Billabong Sanctuary was hosted by the Vincentian Refugee assistance Programme

The St Vincent de Paul Society (Vinnies) provides assistance to migrants and refugees in Queensland including emergency relief and referral to other services.

Everyone had so much fun getting to know some of our native Australian wildlife!

Ranger Nat introduced them to Boss the croc, Sunrise the woma python and a blue-tongued lizard

The look of wonder on the faces of the kids (and their parents) was such a treat to see!

We thank Vinnies RAP for choosing Billabong Sanctuary for your excursion. It was an honour to provide this special Aussie  experience for these brave families
