Feed-Freshwater-Crocs

INTRODUCING A THRILLING NEW EXPERIENCE THAT EVERYONE CAN ENJOY!

Freshie Feeding temporarily suspended as our females are getting ready to lay eggs– always an exciting time!

How would you like to personally feed one of our snappy little freshwater crocodiles?

For years our Rangers have had all the fun and excitement of feeding the big estuarine crocs. Now it’s your turn to get in on the action!

We’ve built a special enclosure right inside the freshie pen, where YOU can safely feed these awesome reptiles. They’re not as big as the salties, but they’re hungry and ready to snap up those tempting bits of chicken!

Freshwater crocodiles (Crocodylus johnstoni) occur only in Australia. They are easily recognizable by their narrower snout and smaller size: a really big male reaches only about 3 metres in length. We have both males and females of all sizes in the enclosure; you never know which ones are going to be jostling for a feed, so every encounter will be exciting and different.

The Feeding Frenzy happens every afternoon right after the 1:00pm Croc Show. No need to book ahead. Just purchase a ticket from the front desk as you enter the Park. Cost is only $10 per person. There’s a limit of 15 participants, so first in best dressed. The littlies can have a go as well, standing on their own sturdy platform (supervised by Mum or Dad).

So what are you waiting for? Come on in and give it a go — treat yourself to a fair dinkum uniquely Australian adventure!
